Three charged in drug investigation
OPP report that earlier this year, the OPP Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation into drug trafficking throughout the District.
On March 20th and 21st, investigators executed five search warrants, two in the Town of Bracebridge and three in Toronto. As a result of the investigation, police seized a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, various prescription medications, a large quantity of cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is in excess of $300,000.
As a result of the investigation:
24-year-old Daniel Shemar Johnson, and 23-year-old Abria Atikinson, both of Toronto, face numerous charges including:
- Possession of Cocaine, Fentanyl and methanphetamines for the Purpose of Trafficking, among other charges
43 years old Jerrett Dirk, of Gravenhurst
- Possession of Cocaine and Fentayl for the Purpose of Trafficking, and
- Fail to Comply with Release Order,
All three are scheduled to appear in Court on April 23rd, 2024.
