Gravenhurst advises roads are too soft to plow

The Town of Gravenhurst is advising that amidst today's snowy conditions, some of their roads are too soft for traditional snowplowing due to recent spring-like weather, necessitating sanding instead.
Half-load restrictions, implemented on March 4th, aim to protect roads from damage caused by heavy vehicle loads as frost thaws and roads weaken affecting their ability to plow the roads without causing damage.
